After visiting the Bean on a cold, wintery day, we decided to get something warm to eat at Park Grill. The waiter suggested Woodland Mushroom soup from the special luncheon menu. It was delicious!
I also ordered the Grilled Pork Burger, something I never tried before. When the waiter brought it to the table, I was amused to see a midget sweet pickle speared through the toothpick on top of the burger. It looked like a tiny pickle flag. The first bite of the burger confirmed what the waiter said -- Park Grill has the best burgers in Chicago! The burger was well-seasoned and juicy. Total perfection.

Park Grill was voted the #1 Best Hamburger in Chicago by CitySearch (Dec 08) but I was in the mood for something different. I asked our waiter for his opinion on the Mushroom Soup and he replied: I tasted it this morning and I can still hear the angels singing! I was sold.
Even though the angels we're singing in my ear, the soup was still delicious. And I was even more impressed by the Roasted Lamb Flat Bread with Gorgonzola cheese. There's a lot of variety on the menu and you can't go wrong with the best burgers in Chicago.
The prices are a little high but the location makes up for that. Park Grill sits directly beneath the Bean. If you're there in winter, be sure to get a seat look out at Michigan Ave & the ice rink. Or you have the option to dine in the huge al fresco area in the summer.
