For one of the greatest sports cities in the world, If you want to experience the real Chicago sports atmosphere, go to ESPN Zone! Located in a safe area, it lives up to all the hype. You have to remember its going to be exactly what you think it is, loud, busy, crowded...but so much fun! It is the perfect place for the true sport lover. The whole place is of course decorated with Chicago sports..especially Michael Jordan, and it makes you feel like you truly belong in Chicago. Of course it will be super busy during important games (I was there for the Bulls-Celtics..INSANE) make reservations before hand if you know a big game is going on! (Cubs/Sox, Bears/Green Bay) Make sure you make enough time to eat and play the games on the second level, that is part of the fun! It is kinda like Dave N Busters, but ALL the games are sports. You buy a swipe card and with points you buy for every game. You dont have to carry around tickets or anything...just the prepaid card. The place is great just to walk around and look at all the great pictures, autographs..extc. Has a gift store with a little bit of each Chicago team, but more ESPN logo stuff. The food/drinks are a bit expensive, but its worth it for the atmosphere. It is a great place for young boys who love sports (girls too!) I would def. go if you have a chance, if you want a fun night on the town in Chicago!

ESPN Zone - video and other games, sports on multiple TV, good old American bar type food - the basics. My Boys love it and want to visit whenever in downtown Chicago.

One problem we encountered on our recent Chicago trip was, well, we were in a city of Bears fans and we needed to watch the Dolphins! We found an ESPN Zone near our hotel and off we went. We found a cozy place by the bar and parked ourselves there for the duration of the game. I was coming down with a bit of a cold and our sweet bartender offered to fix a Hot Toddy for me, which was really one of the best hot toddies I've ever had.
The menu is REALLY limited, especially for two foodies - but we ordered sliders and some wings to tide us over until dinner. Our sliders were good - but the wings were JUST too hot, and not good hot either. We ended up eating the celery and blue cheese and left the wings alone.
Still, this was a great place to watch a Dolphins game in a city of Bears Fans!
