Known as one of the Top 10 theatres in the country, the Rialto Square Theatre opened in 1926 and underwent a restoration in the 1980s, shining scagliola columns rise into a celestial dome full of intricate sculptures. A Duchess chandelier dominates the rotunda.
The Rialto is one of the best venues that I have been to. I have seen many concerts and shows there. I have even been to a bridal expo and a festival of trees. This is an amazing place to visit! Wonderful architecture in this historic building! I would go there time and time again!

This is a BEAUTIFUL theatre! Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Rialto is a must-see in Joliet. Stunning sculpted ceilings, ornate plasterwork and its original Barton Grande Theatre Pipe Organ that was actually used for silent movies in the 1920's.
Individual tours ($5) are offered on Tuesdays at 1:30pm.
You can also see a variety of Broadway shows and musical performances here. Go to the Rialto's website or ticketmaster for tickets.
