Aurora’s interactive science and technology center offers over 200 hands-on exhibits demonstrating the principles of electricity, weather, astronomy and nuclear energy.
The Scitech Museum in downtown Aurora is a fun place for kids. There are 3 floors filled with science displays, exhibits, experiments, etc. All very hands-on. My kids enjoyed the main floor the best which included a rocket launch, basketball toss, weather reporting news station, toddler play area, wind experiment, blocks and legos area, among many other things. A few times a day they do a free science show. Park in the garage around the corner and get 4 hours free parking. They validate your ticket inside the museum.

Have you ever wanted to see and feel a "tornado?" What about making moving shadows? At SciTech you can literally "walk" a tightrope on a special bicycle in their backyard science lab. Or your kids can, I mean.
What's so great is that it's such a tactile experience. You get to touch everything and experiment. There is, I believe, over 200 hands-on things to do in there.
I also heard they're working on building a planetarium! We can't wait.
