Oops! I Forgot .....
The museum and gift shop I just wrote about is the place with the amazing gifts on the main floor but the entire building has fodder for fun.
Upstairs is the History Center and I recently saw two amazing exhibits. On the third floor, is the art gallery that hosts phenomenal openings and wondrous works of art.
Check it alllllllllllllllll out.

Unique Xmas Gifts
The David L. Pierce center is a phemonenal place for so many reasons. The shop is aglow with a myriad of amazing works of art done by local artists--at really reasonable prices!
I did 75% of my Christmas shopping here and believe me, when my giftees open their presents they will be in awe of these ONE-OF-A-KIND gifts.
Just there two days ago, there are freshwater pearl sets, handmade gorgeous scarves, pendants, period posters and cook books, pottery...just an amazing array of beautiful pieces. Pleae do yourself a favor and check this place outl.

Party Favors - Collecting Political Memorabilia
The David L. Pierce Art & History Center is collecting political memorabilia until January 18, 2009.
In the midst of a historic Presidential campaign, Aurora Historical Society opens a new exhibit on the history of politics viewed through the lens of political memorabilia. Party Favors refers to the enormous universe of items used for political messaging, ranging from canes to cards, from patches to posters, and from T-shirts to tokens. The exhibit celebrates American political history and the people who collect and preserve that history in its physical form.
Hours: Wednesday - Sunday 12-4 pm
Admission: $3 adults, $1.50 students & seniors
Admission for AHS members: free
