Blackberry Farm's Pioneer Village is a living history museum situated on 54 scenic acres with a lake, ponds and a meandering stream. The grounds contain an arboretum with over 200 varieties of trees and many gardens.
Blackberry Farm is a living history museum that's part of the Fox Valley Park District. Kids love the miniature train ride, tractor pulled hay ride, pony rides, and carousel. In the farm section there is a pedal tractor course for the kids to ride through along with a bin of corn kernals to play in and animals to see. The grounds are filled with pretty gardens with walking paths. There is also a blacksmith shop, a one room schoolhouse, farm museum, and early streets museum. Bring a picnic lunch or buy food at the outdoor cafe. Don't miss the old fashioned gift shop filled with lots of fun items for adults and kids.
