Love juicy burgers? A hearty ale? Belly-aching laughter after shooting sticks?
I swear, you don't ever have to leave this complex. First of all, it's got major historical importance as the oldest standing limestone roundhouse in the country. All of the exterior walls on this huge place are original.
You can also hear live jazz, blues, rock 'n' roll, LOL to comedy acts, sip aperetifs, shoot some pool, chill in the beer garden and get great steaks, lobster and yummy desserts.
Plus, they make their own beer and root beer and there is always some cool flavor--like pumpkin or chocolate ale.
It's also the last stop on the Metra line so it's a great place for Happy Hour.

Incredible Entertainment Venue~
I have frequented the Roundhouse for a multitude of events....wine tasting and jazz in the courtyard, luncheons in their private banquet rooms, dinner in the restaurant, drinks and appetizers after work, shopped in the Payton gift shop for holiday ideas, browsed through Walter Payton's Museum, laughed hysterically at Comedy Comedy on the weekend, and even watched the brewmeister concoct a unique recipe for beer made in their very own microbrewery !
The Roundhouse covers almost every entertainment possiblity in the Fox River Valley...all under one roof. And if you want to carry on and make it a late night at the Roundhouse (I must admit I have!), stay next door at the Comfort Suites where the beds are cozy, the breakfast is hot, and the staff is always accommodating. It's a great trip from downtown on the Metra since the train drops you at the doorstep....I can't wait to go again...any takers?
