Come join us for the 2010 Bunny Hop on March 27th from 10am to 2pm. Have a "hopping" good time in the Pearl!

In its third year, the Pearl District Bunny Hop is coming offering kids and families fun, prizes and activities. A number of businesses in the Pearl—including Little Urbanites, Cupcake Jones, Green Frog Toys, as well as adult-focused retailers like Bridgeport Brewpub & Bakery—will offer toys, treats, and storytelling. Little Urbanites is a popular spot along the bunny trail, where kids can create bunny ears and get their faces painted.

“It’s a really fun event, and it’s primarily for kids,” said Kim Sibley, owner of Little Urbanites. “But it’s grown into a bigger event to explore the Pearl—for kids and adults.” Peter Rabbit will make his appearance at Green Frog Toys. Participants, after collecting stamps along the “bunny trail,” are entered into a drawing to win prizes. “It’s the thing to do around the Easter holiday,” said Lisa Watson, owner of Cupcake Jones. “People from all over the area bring their children for this fun event."

Throughout the Pearl District
The Home Furnishing Sample Sale will feature significant discounts on designer furniture, floor samples,
home accessories, draperies, linens, collectibles, art and lighting.

"We're very excited to help coordinate this event which is a Pearl District wide home furnishings sample sale,"
stated Joshua Ryan, Executive Director of the Pearl District Business Association. "This is an opportunity
for our Design Central for Home participants to work cooperatively and provide the public access to extraordinary
values on one-of-a-kind merchandise," he added.

Renee Russo, owner of EWF Modern stated, "This is not your 'average' sample sale. Many of our participating
stores have a policy about never having a sales. Many feature top-of-the-line, designer merchandise - and this
is the only time of the year where they will offer special discounts. It's very exciting," she concluded.

This incredible sales event lasts for just one week, so visit the Pearl District early for the best selection.

You'll find plenty of small, affordable works of original art throughout the Pearl from February 3 to March 4, when district galleries sponsor "Bon Bon: Small Bites of Delicious Art." The purpose of the gallery hop, says Amy Caplan, owner of Caplan Art Design (1102 NW 10th; 503.319.6437), "is to get people out and about. If you are an art lover, this is a great opportunity to find great art at affordable prices."

Eleven Pearl galleries and four raffle ticket outlets will participate in "Bon Bon," displaying works by Eileen Kane, Eric Leichty, Nigel Conway and others. Many galleries will be serving wine and chocolates, and all will offer raffle tickets for a chance to win pottery by Kurt Van Vlack and other prizes.
